  • Information collected through cookies and similar technologies, described in Cookies and similar technologies below

3. How We Use Your Information

We use personal data for the following purposes, on the lawful bases indicated:

  • To communicate with you — responding to enquiries, sending order updates, and scheduling consultations (performance of a contract / legitimate interests)
  • To process payments — taking payment for the package or service you order (performance of a contract)
  • To improve our website and services — analysing how visitors use the site so we can improve content and usability (legitimate interests)

  • To meet legal and regulatory obligations — such as tax, accounting and record-keeping requirements (legal obligation)
  • To prevent fraud and protect our business — safeguarding our website, staff and clients against misuse (legitimate interests)

We do not use your career information for any purpose beyond delivering and improving the service you have asked for, and we do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work properly, understand how it is used, and, where you consent, support marketing. Cookies are small text files stored on your device.

  • Strictly necessary cookies — required for core site functionality, such as navigation and security. These cannot be switched off.
  • Analytics cookies — help us understand how visitors interact with the site, as described in Website analytics below.
  • Functional cookies — remember your preferences, such as cookie consent choices.
  • Marketing cookies — used only with your consent, to measure the effectiveness of any advertising.

You can manage or withdraw your consent for non-essential cookies at any time through your browser settings or our cookie consent tool. For full detail on the specific cookies we use and how to control them, see our Cookie Policy.

5. Website Analytics

We use website analytics tools, such as [Insert analytics provider, e.g. Google Analytics], to understand how visitors use our site — for example, which pages are most useful and how visitors find us. Analytics data is generally aggregated and used to inform decisions about site content and structure, not to identify individuals. Where analytics cookies are used, they are only set with your consent, in line with the Cookies section above.

6. Payment Information

Payments for our services are processed securely by a third-party payment provider, such as [Insert payment processor, e.g. Stripe or PayPal]. CVProWrite does not directly store your full card number, expiry date or security code — this information is handled by our payment processor in line with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). We retain a record of transactions (such as amount, date and order reference) for accounting and customer service purposes.

7. Data Security

We take the security of your personal data seriously and apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect it, including restricted access to client information, secure storage of files, and use of reputable, secure third-party platforms for hosting, email and payment processing. While we work hard to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes it was collected, including to satisfy any legal, accounting or reporting requirements. As a guide:

  • Client career information and completed documents are typically retained for [Insert retention period, e.g. 24 months] after your last order, in case you need revisions or return for a future service, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised
  • Billing and transaction records are retained for the period required by UK tax and accounting law (generally six years)
  • Enquiries that do not result in an order are retained for a limited period and then deleted

Where you ask us to delete your data sooner, we will do so unless we are required to keep it for a legal reason — see Your rights below.

9. Third-Party Services and Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share personal data only with the following categories of recipient, and only as needed to deliver our services:

  • Our CV writing team — the professional writers and staff who work on your documents, bound by confidentiality
  • IT, hosting and email service providers — who store or transmit data on our behalf under appropriate data processing agreements
  • Payment processors — to take payment securely, as described in Payment information
  • Professional advisers — such as accountants or legal advisers, where necessary
  • Regulators and law enforcement — where we are required to disclose information by law

CVProWrite operates from the United Kingdom, with a further office in Dubai, UAE. Where personal data is accessed from outside the UK, or shared with a service provider located outside the UK, we put appropriate safeguards in place, such as the UK's International Data Transfer Agreement or equivalent standard contractual clauses, to ensure your data continues to receive an appropriate level of protection.

10. Your Rights Under UK GDPR

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Erasure of your data, in certain circumstances ("right to be forgotten")
  • Restrict how we use your data in certain circumstances
  • Data portability — receiving your data in a portable format, or having it transferred directly to another provider
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests, or to direct marketing at any time
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent, without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in How to contact us. We will respond within one month, as required by law. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your data, you have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.
